Mallory

My name is Mallory. I am the co-Hospital Director at DPC Veterinary Hospital. I have been a proud member of the DPC team since May 2004. Part of my job entails customer service training of all staff members to ensure that each time you visit DPC you have an excellent experience here!

As far back as my memory will go, I have always wanted to work with animals. I am currently attending Florida Atlantic University part time completing my Bachelor's of Science in Biology so that I can apply to Veterinary School.

I am very lucky to be working in a field that I am very passionate about. It is my pleasure to assist you with any of your furry children's needs.

In my free time I enjoy soaking up sunshine at the beach, taking my English bulldog, Roxy, to the Dog Park and playing fetch with my two kitties.

Nancy

We want you to know that your input is valued!

When I am not at work you can find me swimming at the gym, or hanging out at the dog park with my four dogs. I share my home with my husband, four dogs, four goats, and too many chickens and roosters to count.

You will often find my special girl, Sandy (a Wheaten Terrier mix) keeping me company behind the front desk of the clinic.

Jessica

Hi, my name is Jessica and I am one of the front desk receptionists.

In addition to reception, I also handle our clinic's Facebook page, blog and some of our website content. My goal is to keep our facility active and accessible via the internet and to provide as much useful information as I can to our clients and to pet owners on the web. I look forward to greeting and assisting clients both old and new during your visit to DPC!

I have worked in the veterinary field since 2001. Born and raised in northern New Jersey,

I worked at a veterinary clinic for four years before relocating to Florida in late 2005. I have been a Fort Lauderdale resident since late 2006 and a member of the DPC team since February of 2010. It has been a fun and exciting journey and I couldn't be happier to be working with my current colleagues.

My love of animals began at an early age. My family and I have had a wide array of pets since my childhood. I have a soft spot for rabbits, and am happy to assist our bunny-owning clients whenever possible!

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Rob, whom I am planning to adopt an English bulldog with in the very near future! I also have an interest in art, photography, blogging, graphic design, and makeup artistry. While not fluent in Spanish, I do speak a bit and am happy to attempt to communicate to our Spanish-speaking clients when possible.

Karina

Hello, my name is Karina. I'm 27 years old and have been working at DPC Veterinary Hospital since July 2010. I currently work as one of the lab techs and occasionally you can find me answering the phones at the front desk as well. I'm usually the person you will speak to if you ever need a Spanish translator on the phone. 

I was born in Chile, but moved to South Florida at the age of 6. Ever since I can remember, I have fond memories of growing up around all sorts of different animals from rabbits, chickens and peacocks; to fresh water fish, turtles and birds of all kinds. I also do have a soft spot for all sorts of kitties and Siberian Huskies as well! What can I say; I just love all sorts of creatures both big and small!

After high school, I attended the University of Florida, where I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. (Go Gators!) I plan on obtaining my Masters degree in Marine Biology in the near future and hopefully will be able to work with Sea Turtles at that time.

In my spare time I also enjoy reading, camping, going to the beach and exploring all sorts of nature related adventures with my wonderful fiancé, Wayne. I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful pets around the office!

I am originally from Brazil but am now a resident of the Sunshine State! I am happy to communicate with our clients in Portuguese whenever needed.

Sherry

Hi guys! My name is Sherry and I have been a part of the DPC family since the very beginning. It is my pleasure to assist our clients on a daily basis and answer as many of their questions as possible. If we haven't spoken yet, I'm sure we will soon!

I have been working with animals since the 1980's. A cat lover at heart, I am proud to say that I have helped rescue thousands of cats over the years. I advocate the benefit of spaying and neutering as well as the trap and release of feral cats.

When I'm not at the clinic, I am most likely spending time with my husband of 43 years and counting, Rob. I also have a son, daughter, and two beautiful grand-monsters!  Meeting new clients and their furry babies is the best part of my job. I hope to see you and yours soon!

Technicians:

Amanda

Hello there! My name is Amanda,  I am a veterinary technician here at DPC Veterinary Hospital. I moved to South Florida in January and joined the team in February 2011.
.
I have been working in the veterinary field for over five years, starting as a kennel technician at an animal shelter before moving up to a veterinary technician in Ocala, Florida. I enjoy my career working with animals because of the bonds built between staff, patients and their owners. I am proud of my ability to use my skills to help animals when they are sick. I also share my knowledge with fellow pet lovers to help keep their pets well.

Growing up I have had everything from birds, snakes and lizards to cows, goats and chickens. I spend my free time enjoying the company of my family, friends and boyfriend. My hobbies involve drawing, reading and outdoor activities that include going to the beach. I am an avid equine enthusiast and have 2 horses, Tuff and Lil' Red. I enjoy spending time with them most of all! Together we take pleasure in trail riding and barrel racing. I also have a Chihuahua named Rio that I rescued a few years ago. Rio and I enjoy spending time together while watching our favorite television shows and going for walks in the evenings. So as you can tell, animals of all shapes and sizes hold a special place in my heart. I look forward to meeting yours!

Brandi

Hello and welcome fellow animal lovers! My name is Brandi.

I have made animal medicine my career instinctively for 18 years. I have proudly served as senior surgical nurse at DPC for the previous 11 years and counting. I am an avid animal lover and advocate, therefore choosing DPC as my home was only natural.

Our hospital and its employees have never compromised our integrity for the sake of just "business". We have always been a step above the rest and maintained our goals as such throughout the years. My purpose has been and always will be the comfort, safety and health of your pet first and foremost. That is my pledge to all of my animal friends. Hope to see you soon!

Jeannie

Hello, my name is Jeannie.

I have lived in Florida for the past 37 years. I started my career working with animals at the Broward county Humane Society in 2005. I have worked for DPC Veterinary Hospital since 2007. I have two daughters, a loving husband, two Chihuahuas and Merlin the cat.

The one thing I can say about myself is that since I was a child my passion has always been for animals.

I was constantly taking care of feeding stray animals around my neighborhood. My parents would frequently catch me hiding stray animals in my room and caring for them.

I have learned that my true love is to work with and be around animals. I am in a fortunate position to be fulfilling that dream and having a career helping animals every day. I am currently working in the surgery room recovering animals after their procedures.

Kerensa

Hi, my name is Kerensa.  I was born in Cornwall, England.  I have lived in South Florida for the majority of my life.

I grew up with Golden Retrievers and cats in my household.  I recently rescued a Golden Retriever mix that was kenneled all eight months of his life! I enjoy working with him and taking him on new adventures he has never experienced before.

In addition to rescuing and working with animals I have two precious daughters.  Being a mom is like having a second fulltime job!

I joined the DPC team in July of 2010 and began in kennel.  Within six months I was promoted to the position of veterinary technician. I take pride in coming to work every day and aiding in the important care of each of your pets!

Maia

My name is Maia, and I have been working at DPC for over 2 years now.

I have been a veterinary technician for 10 years in South Florida. I am one of DPC's treatment nurses. My responsibilities include caring for hospitalized patients as well as assisting doctors in appointments. I am proud to be a member of the DPC staff and enjoy meeting new challenges and furthering my knowledge every day.

My time off of work is mainly spent caring for my array of pets at home. I am an avid reptile enthusiast and own quite a few. I also have a Pit Bull named Nautica.

Melissa

Hello, my name is Melissa, and I have been with DPC Veterinary Hospital for 9 years and counting. I am one of the technicians here at the clinic. I love my job, my co-workers, and our wonderful clients.

It's been a blast to work with animals and I have learned many new things during the time I have been with the DPC team. My goal is to help all of the pets in need who come to our office and to help prevent illness whenever possible by educating our clients about prevention.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets and answering any questions you may have.

When I am not working at DPC I enjoy spending time with my husband, two beautiful kids, and my own furry family.

Michaleen

Hi everyone! My name is Michaleen and I have worked at DPC since 2010. I enjoy working here because the clients are friendly and my co-workers are great!

When I was younger I used to take my cats to Dr. Raspberry and he would let me go to the kennel area and look in on the animals and help him as much as I could. I used to tell him I wanted to be a veterinarian one day, but I settled for a veterinary technician because I was busy having my two beautiful children!

I love animals and have 3 dogs of my own – a Pitbull, a standard Poodle and a Chihuahua.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, relaxing and watching children. (When I'm not driving my children around town to practice or games!) I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Rainey

Hi! My name is Rainey and I'm an animal lover and advocate. I have been employed at DPC for over 5 years now and time really flies at this fact paced clinic!

My primary position at DPC is treatment technician. It's my responsibility to help hospitalized patients and make sure that they are constantly monitored and cared for. We work with a lot of rescue groups and I always have a sick or injured pet that depends on me for treatment and a little TLC! It is the most rewarding part of my job.

I thoroughly enjoy helping sick pets and nursing them back to health. The knowledge that my dedication and hard work makes a difference is what makes my job worthwhile. Another important part of my job is being a supportive and reliable resource to my coworkers and to the veterinarians at DPC. In addition to my duties as technician, I am frequently helping out at the front desk. So you may see me in an exam room or behind the counter! I am truly a care giver by nature and always try to be involved in rehabilitation, which is my true passion.

I hope to see you and your pet soon!

Sheena

My name is Sheena, and I'm 27 years old. I have lived in South Florida for most of my life. I have three cats and one dog of my own – Small Fry, Tater Tot, Lil' Demon, and Maddie (my American Bulldog who is 5 years old and thinks she is a cat!).

I started working at DPC in early 2010 as a kennel assistant. Shortly thereafter I made the transition to the surgery staff. I am now an Assistant Surgery Technician and my job is to prepare and recover pets who are admitted to the clinic for surgical procedures.

Every day at DPC is new and exciting and I am constantly learning. That's the best part of working in this field! I love my job and enjoy what I do on a daily basis.

You can rest assured that while your pet is in our care I will do my best to make sure that he or she is comfortable and well cared for. My priority has always been the safety and well being of all animals, and that is my contribution to DPC!

Joel

My name is Joel Lopez. I’m a veterinary technician at DPC. As a technician my goal is to provide the best quality of care for all of our patients. I am proud to be a member of the DPC family!

I graduated from William H. Turner Technical Arts School where I was certified as a veterinary technician. I’ve been working in the veterinary field for over seven years now and I still love it as much as I did the first day.

My time outside of DPC is spent with my family. I am the proud father of two beautiful children. While at DPC I am delighted to meet each new client and their pet. I am also happy to communicate in Spanish whenever needed. I hope to meet you and your dog or cat soon!

Hollie

My name is Hollie, and I'm the newest addition to the DPC family. I work as a kennel assistant, helping out where I can. I'm originally from Northern California, where I graduated from Sacramento State University with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology.

While growing up on my family farm I was able to come into contact with all kinds of animals, which led me to start a career caring for them.

I have been able to work in one capacity or another with them since I was 16. Now that I have moved out east, I hope to take my experience and put it to good work for your animal's needs.

When you come to visit us, I'm sure you'll see me buzzing around making sure all the animals have food, water and everything else they need to be comfortable during their stay here at DPC Veterinary Hospital.
